I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
